Director of Network Services
This is a full-time position within the IT department reporting to the Director of Technology. The Director of Network Services is responsible for the school's computer network. Will maintain the network for over 1000 users. Analyze, plan and specify ongoing modifications and improvements to the network infrastructure.
Major Responsibilities:
· Maintain the day-to-day operations of the network.
· Support, troubleshoot and maintain key network systems, including switches, access points, production databases, domain, firewalls, and backup servers.
· Support and maintain cloud services including M365 suite and GSuite
· Supervises and supports IT Support Technicians.
General Responsibilities
· Program and Maintain network firewall(s) (Watchguard)
· Regularly backup all servers and key databases, test, maintain, and restore data on an as needed basis.
· Manage user network and email accounts in hybrid environment.
· Manage wired and wireless network (HP/Aruba)
· Manage and maintain network devices such as Barracuda web filter, Aruba ClearPass, Orion NPM/APM, Sophos AV
· Manage and deploy automated updates for Window and Mac users.
· Evaluate, test and deploy system fixes.
· Manage printer servers that support printing from PCs and Macs.
· Manage and upgrade servers
· Secure user identity and access and monitor traffic and access on and off network
· Work with Director of Technology on planning, design and deployment of IT infrastructure upgrades (On-prem and cloud based)
Qualifications and Expectations
· Self-directed, can work with limited supervision on no-routine tasks
· 5 years' experience- school environment is preferred.
· Appropriate network certifications.
· Good interpersonal, communication skills.
· Creative with excellent problem-solving ability.
· Thrives in demanding and challenging situation
