LOWER SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHER-Long Term Substitute Fall 2022
This is a full-time position within the Music department reporting to the Head of Lower School. This exempt full time position will commence August 22, 2022 and end on November 22, 2022.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create an intellectually challenging music program informed by developmentally appropriate and research-based practices that is inquiry-based, rigorous, creative, and integrates culturally responsive pedagogy
- Design curriculum using an backwards curriculum planning model that aligns with the PreK-12 spiral
- Individualize and differentiate instruction, nurture wellbeing, and be able to motivate and challenge students utilizing a variety of instructional and assessment methods
- Assume responsibility for all work included in a full time teaching assignment including progress reports, conferences and home/school communication, scheduling, duties, etc.
- Integrate technology to enrich student learning
- Cultivate a sense of community, social responsibility, and an appreciation and respect for individual differences
- Work closely and cooperatively with colleagues and administrative teams
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, kindness, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, willingness to learn and grow professionally, a cooperative spirit and a commitment to teamwork

- Have a minimum of one year teaching elementary music experience
