Applewild School invites applications for an Advancement and Marketing Manager for the 2022-2023 school year.

We are looking for a self-starter with exceptional writing and organizational skills to join our team. This role will work closely with the Head of School, the Director of Advancement, and the Director of Admission to execute the communications strategy that will inform past, current, and future families about Applewild’s exciting programs. This position is an exciting professional growth opportunity for someone looking to advance their career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Director of Advancement and the Director of Admission to further the philanthropic, and enrollment goals of the school. This includes supporting fundraising efforts such as the annual fund, as well as critical efforts to engage parent-volunteer support of the school (events, campaigns, etc).
- Serve as a dynamic contributor to Applewild School’s marketing strategy in collaboration with school leadership.
- Develop, create, and disseminate content for weekly blogs in support of Applewild School, and manage the School’s social media accounts.
- Serve as the School’s point person/project manager for the new website. Once launched, maintain data and information on the School website accurate, and current.
- Create and produce appropriate special-event and marketing materials, and assist with managing vendors, including off-site designers, printers, and mail houses, for various print projects.
- Assist the Head of School with crisis communications, as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 2-5 years of work experience is a plus.
- A desire to work with preschool to ninth grade day and junior boarding students, and a deep empathy for their experience, as well as their parents’.
- Experience with (or willingness to learn) Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, and/or Facts Management, as well as graphic design programs, such as Canvas.
- Exceptional written-and-oral-communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Cultural competence and diplomacy, a warm and empathetic demeanor, a collaborative and flexible nature.
