The Brearley School, an independent girls’ school serving over 700 students K-12, welcomes candidates for a Part-time Athletic Trainer for Fall 2022.

Essential Functions
· Provide part-time athletic training services including in-person coverage for scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as necessary. Schedule will be M-F from approximately 2:30-6pm. Hours may vary per game and practice schedule.
· Evaluates injuries and develops treatment and exercise plans within the NYS scope of practice.
· Implements individualized therapeutic interventions, and monitors responses to therapy to ensure athlete safety.
· Reports progress and medical changes to referring physicians, Head Athletic Trainer, and Athletic Director in a timely manner.
· Educates athletes, families, and coaches regarding injury prevention, injury treatment, participation clearance and exercise programs.
· Ensure compliance with NYS mandated concussion protocol
· Accurate medical record keeping and documentation per HIPAA guidelines
· Understanding and adherence to COVID protocols
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited university athletic training program; Masters degree preferred.
· Current Athletic Trainer certification from NYS.
· Current and good standing BOC certification.
· First Aid/CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care for the Professional rescuer certification.
· Requires the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
· Must have strong interpersonal communications and human relation skills.
· Experience communicating with high school level parents, administrators, and coaches.
