Westmark School is searching for a Database Manager/Development Associate who thrives in an environment where they will be responsible for managing the Raiser’s Edge NXT database as well as engaged in fundraising by providing support in the areas of annual giving, major gifts, and foundation relations. As Database Manager, they will ensure the integrity of financial and constituent data as well as developing operational protocols and policies. The Database Manager works closely with Finance, IT, Admission, and Marketing and Communications.

Responsibilities
Database Management
- Manages and maintains constituent profiles in the Raiser's Edge NXT database, while ensuring accurate information and consistent formatting;
- Works to improve the integrity of constituent data by creating and implementing data entry standards;
- Leads database training and acts as a resource for best practices;
- Maintains and updates solicitation queries for mailing;
- Provides information for communications, publications, and the School website, including detailed donor lists;
- Compiles reports providing statistics on all constituents, analyzing giving trends and outcomes;
- Creates event entries, records and maintains RSVP lists, inputs auction items, and compiles reports to support fundraising and stewardship events;
- Oversees weekly, monthly, and year-end reconciliation of all gifts with Finance;
- Processes and manages online gifts to ensure gift acknowledgements and gift agreements/pledges are scanned and posted in the Raiser's Edge NXT database;
- Tracks donations and pledge payments for capital campaign, Westmark Fund (annual fund), Spring Gala, endowment, Alumni Fund, scholarships, and in-kind donations, including generating pledge reminders; and
- Develops prospect research reports about new parents, grandparents, alumni, and others.
Development Associate
- Produces acknowledgements for all gifts, including securing signatures from staff and volunteers;
- Gathers background information for personalized donor proposals;
- Coordinates mailings to all constituency groups for support of the Westmark Fund;
- Assists in the production of training materials and volunteer packets.
- Coordinates meetings with Westmark Fund volunteers;
- Coordinates delivery of stewardship gifts to volunteers and donors;
- Assists volunteers, as needed.
- Additional duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 3+years of Raiser's Edge database experience, preferably in the nonprofit or education sectors.
- Experience with Blackbaud K–12 (On Suite products) and Finalsite preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Excellent written and oral communication. Meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
