Development Coordinator
Job Summary
The Development Coordinator at Oxbridge Academy will assist the Director of Giving and Alumni Relations and the Director of Advancement to plan and execute donor relation strategies and tactics with the goal of raising funds for Oxbridge Academy. The Development Coordinator manages the development office database and is responsible for the data integrity of the donor base. The position is responsible for assisting the development department with wealth research on prospective donors and research foundations that support educational programs. The coordinator position will assist in developing comprehensive fundraising plans focused on generating revenue, encouraging participation, and boosting community involvement. The coordinator is comfortable with direct communication and solicitation with prospective donors. The position participates in solving logistical issues and collaborates with multiple colleagues and departments including the advancement team, head of school, faculty and staff, and the board of trustees. This position reports directly to the Director of Giving and Alumni Relations, overseen by the Director of Advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Director of Giving and Alumni Relations, assist with implementation of annual fund efforts, targeting various constituent groups related to Oxbridge Academy.
- Assist with the strategic planning and promotion of comprehensive capital campaigns.
- Experience, understanding, and knowledge of wealth screening for individuals and foundations. Prior experience with wealth research software a plus.
- Adept at making financial decisions and analysis.
- Manage the development office’s use of SIS database system and wealth research software. Responsible for data integrity as it pertains to donor relations.
- Process gifts and donor acknowledgements.
- Understanding and knowledge of foundational research and grant proposals. Oversee and manage grant proposals. Prior experience using foundation search software a plus.
- Regularly communicate with major donors, keep them updated on recent events, and include them on communications enhancing satisfaction of donor relations. Comfortable with direct solicitation with prospective donors.
- Coordinate production and mailings of development collateral and solicitations, working closely with the Communications Department on the creation of collateral materials.
- Coordinate and document identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of families, alumni and the greater community.
- Coordinate reconciliation, reporting and monthly summary with the Business Office.
- Assist with hosting outreach events and networking connections. Coordination of events that appeal to current and potential donors.
- Ensure execution of donor and sponsor recognition opportunities.
- Assist with the planning of the alumni relations program.
- Assist with the planning of meeting and volunteer support for the Oxbridge Parent Association.
Skills:
- Business acumen and strong technology skills, Microsoft Suite proficient, utilization of SIS systems, fundraising, wealth research and foundation research software.

Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Three (3)+ years experience in development and fundraising, non-profits, and special events. Grant writing a plus.
- Utilization of fundraising and wealth research software experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ideal candidates will be creative, detail-oriented, organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, meet deadlines and work well with others.
