Job Description:
The Director of Enrollment Management is responsible for all aspects of the school’s enrollment efforts – from retaining current students to enrolling new students. They will work closely with the Head of School to produce and then update a Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP) and then manage the work of the enrollment management office in an effort to meet or exceed the targets identified in the SEP.
In addition to overseeing all aspects of the school’s admission efforts, the Director of Enrollment Management is a key member of the school’s administration, and in concert with the Director of Finance and Business Operations, represents the school if the Head of School is otherwise unavailable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all admission-related systems and processes
- Coordinate with contracted marketing firm marketing and advertising efforts.
- Plan and produce the school’s admission events
- Coordinate the Indexed Tuition and Scholarship process
- Maintain admission data (inquiries, visits, etc.)
- Manages the overall enrollment process and procedures for new and returning students
- Report to Head of School and Board on admission progress monthly
- Report on attrition semi-annually
- Maintain on-going plans for all students who may be considering leaving the school
- Work with communications coordinator to ensure that the website clearly, accurately, and effectively represents the school to prospective families
- Work closely with faculty team leads to ensure that curriculum is clearly, accurately, and compellingly presented to all prospective families who come to tour the school
- Ensure quality control for all tours
- Ensure that physical space of the school presents well
- Oversee development of a reliable and user-friendly online application format
- Serve as initial (and primary) point of contact for Jon Peterson Scholarship
- Serve as first point of contact for families as they transition into the school
- Coordinate outreach opportunities with the community to provide visibility for the school to increase recruitment and branding
- Represent the school at the CCIS Admissions Leadership meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Three years of admission, enrollment, or sales experience.
- Experience in a not-for-profit and/or independent school environment highly preferred.
