The part-time Lower School Admissions Tester assists the Director of Lower School Enrollment with the administration of admission and enrollment functions that contribute to the success of Lower School enrollment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administration of pre-admission student assessments and support for and attendance at Lower School enrollment events. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills to serve all internal and external constituents.
Essential Functions
- Administer assessments to students applying to Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1-6. The assessments are scheduled as part of group Play Sessions (PK-K) as well as individual student visits offered throughout the week.
- Create an environment where the student feels positive about her performance and comfortable with her experience. Ensure that rapport is established with the child as well as the parents prior to the assessment.
- Provide written reports including specific information about the child’s abilities, issues of individual learning strengths and needs, academic performance, language, memory, attention skills, and behavioral/emotional/social functioning, to be completed within 24 hours of the individual testing date or Play Session.
- Assist the Director of Lower School Enrollment with the execution of strategies and tactics to generate interest from qualified families.
- Assist with various activities in support of Enrollment including proctoring internal assessments, pre-event preparations, event execution and post-event responsibilities.
- Provide other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in education or other related field required.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and set priorities to achieve goals/objectives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Confidence speaking in small/large groups and with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Early childhood, elementary education experiences required.
- Strong organizational skills; attentive to detail. A demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a cooperative, team-focused work atmosphere in a student-centered environment.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and various student information system technologies.
- Experience with educational testing preferred.
Physical Effort/Environment:
- General office and campus environment. Duties require employee to interact with students, parents, faculty, staff, and other internal and external constituencies. Sitting, walking, standing, bending, twisting and occasional lifting required. Computer usage involving repetitive hand/wrist motion necessary.
Miscellaneous:
- A criminal background check is required.
