Westover is seeking dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive applicants for the Assistant Director of Constituent Engagement position. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports to the Director of Constituent Engagement and works in close collaboration with the full Alumnae and Development team. This position will ideally begin immediately.
The Assistant Director of Constituent Engagement is an integral member of alumnae and parent relations for Westover School, with a focus on volunteer management and event planning. As a relationship builder, the Assistant Director is a front-facing advocate for our alumnae and parents who wish to stay connected with Westover.
Westover is seeking a positive, energetic personality who enjoys relationship building and technology and is committed to thinking creatively to enhance a program that will inspire alumnae and parents to engage with the School. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
-
Has up to 2 years of experience in volunteer management or event planning;

A relationship builder;

Excellent written and verbal communication;

Interest in and experience with designing content;

Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills required to relate to alumnae and parents, volunteers and colleagues, including tact, diplomacy and discretion;

Initiative and self-starting capacity;
-
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with an attention to detail;
-
Willingness and ability to travel and set up events regionally;
-
Demonstrated commitment to supporting an intentionally equitable and inclusive community and building an engagement program that embraces diverse cultures and perspectives and wide-ranging constituencies - students, parents, faculty, alumnae, etc.

A pleasant nature and commitment to building camaraderie with colleagues.

Able to work with confidential information with discretion and the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
-
Assist the Director in successfully executing engagement opportunities for all constituencies;
-
Staff all reunion volunteers and Class Correspondents;
-
Solicit for class notes via the Class Correspondents and prepare for submission to the Magazine;
-
Create and staff a young alumnae engagement committee;
-
Staff the Engagement Committee on the Board of Governors;
-
Create content for and execute emails, social posts and WestoverConnect on behalf of constituent engagement;
-
Encourage WestoverConnect usage and postings by volunteers;
-
In concert with the Assistant Director of Constituent Giving, co-chair the STARs program;
-
Lead the Alumnae Association Awards nomination process, ensuring equitable and appropriate winners are selected and celebrated;

Until a permanent Donor Relations partner is in place, recognize job changes/deaths/birthdays;

Exercise good judgment in discussing alumni, issues and results. Maintain composure and calm demeanor in difficult situations; and
-
Various other duties as needed within the Alumnae and Development Office
