The Abraham Joshua Heschel School is looking for a part-time dance instructor for the 2022-23 school year.
The position requires a commitment of 8-10 hours per week teaching two classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the afternoon sometime between the hours of 1:00pm - 5:00pm, as well as two of four classes on Fridays between the hours of 9:00am - 1:30pm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing a safe, fun and positive experience for all students; developing dance curriculum and preparing lesson plans; creating a supportive learning environment for students with various skill levels; choreographing a dance for “Celebration of the Arts” night.
Qualified candidates will have experience teaching high school students, will be knowledgeable and skilled in teaching modern dance, jazz and hip hop. The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and dependable.
