Responsibilities:
- Teach a year-long general Drama course to all students in grade 7, and electives to students in Grades 8, 9, and 11/12.
- Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level teaching teams and in the Fine Arts Department; attend faculty meetings and parent-teacher conferences; and participate in occasional special assemblies or events.
- Assess student progress consistently and constructively. Communicate proactively and regularly with parents, administrators and other faculty about student progress.
- Manage all aspects of three annual student productions: an all-school musical (in collaboration with a music director), an Upper School play, and a Middle School play. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate repertoire in coordination with the Department Chair and school administration; auditions and casting; rehearsals; sets, lighting, sound, and costumes; and logistical and artistic aspects of performances (typically three performances per production).
- Contribute as needed to other areas of school life, which may include serving as a club moderator, advisor, or lunch monitor; providing technical support for assemblies or other events in the theater space; and other duties as assigned by the Headmaster.
