The Harley School seeks a full-time Upper School History teacher to start in September of 2023. Primary responsibility is for teaching five sections of history to students in grades 9-12 with a focus on American history, politics, and society. Courses will include AP US History and a series of topical courses such as Dissent in America, World Wars, the Cold War, and Debate. Additional responsibilities include—but are not limited to—academic advising, chaperoning, extracurricular mentoring and supervision, and committee work.

- Be passionate about teaching students and helping them become informed, engaged global citizens;
- Have appropriate academic preparation for the position (Master’s preferred);
- Have teaching experience, either at the secondary or college level;

- Promote and welcome open, dynamic, and critical discussions to engage students in a meaningful study of our past, present, and future.
