Job Title: Spiritual Life Director

Job Summary
In close collaboration with the Head of School, the spiritual vision will be determined and the primary responsibility of the Spiritual Life Director is to execute that vision in order to lead students to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Essential Job Functions
Direction, Vision and Leading
- Lead and evaluate the Spiritual Life team members
- Lead and evaluate the activities and programs
- Weekly meetings with team members
- Oversee the departmental budget
- Model servant leadership and cast vision for service week
- Provide pastoral care to students and staff
- Develop and maintain relationships with students
Event Programming, Planning and Teaching
- Plan, implement and evaluate home groups, chapels, retreats, spirit week and service week
- Staff Retreat program and planning in partnership with Human Resources
- Oversee service week logistics
- Works in close relation with Student Governance, Deans and Principals
- Teach 1 - 2 Bible classes
Committee Involvement
- A-Team Member

- Long-Range Planning Committee
- Admissions Committee
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Bible, Theology or Divinity, Masters preferred
- 2 years of teaching experience at HS/JH level
- Pastoral or youth ministry, Young Life experience preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Required to use the computer throughout the day
- Frequently communicates with students, parents and colleagues throughout the day
- Work will be performed from the campus
- Will move throughout the campus during the day
- May occasionally have to lift up to 20-pounds
- Work is generally performed year-round, Monday-Friday from generally 7:00am to 3:30pm
- This position will occasionally require you to work nights, weekends and overnights (for trips/events). As much advance notice as possible will be provided.
- The hours are estimates based on a normal school day, but the hours will vary based on the school calendar and associated activities, events and trips.

- Pay Grid: Spiritual Life Director
- Pay Grid Range: $89,885 to $150,444
- This position is paid based on a preset pay grid and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the Human Resources department. The starting pay listed is reflective of the minimum experience and education requirements for this position. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid, so most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid depending on experience and education.
