Position: Information Technology Manager
(Full-time/11 month/Exempt)
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
The Information Technology Manager reports directly to the school’s Chief Financial Officer. This position is to provide for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of technology and improve the teaching, learning, communication, and school management. The Information Technology Manager will provide guidance about hardware, software, applications, and classroom design that best suits the needs of the school. Furthermore, this is a leadership position that requires the ability to develop and project a vision of the future and uphold the mission of the school.
Responsibilities
- Administer the systems and servers related to the Heschel local area computer network.
- Manage the school’s Chromebooks and all related software and policies.
- Manage the school’s Google Workspace Account and related services.
- Manage the school’s VoIP and video surveillance infrastructure.
- Support various events as needed, including set-up and production.
- Manage computer network security, including security software, network firewall, and data backup.
- Install and update network (client and server) software on Windows and MAC platforms in classrooms, labs, and offices.
- Manage the school’s email accounts, spam filtering, and email backup.
- Manage the wireless network design, installation, and maintenance using Cisco Meraki.
- Manage facilities requests that require IT department involvement.
- Install, manage, upgrade, backup, and administer educational software and related data.
- Manage infrastructure and school technology inventory replacement/upgrade cycles
- Manage and configure user accounts across the school’s software suite.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and/or software applications.
- Manage employee technology and software training.
- Manage and coordinate use of outside vendors and consultants.
- Experience with the Blackbaud software suite for schools is a plus.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures documentation.
Heschel offers competitive salaries and benefits, as well as a collegial working environment. The Salary Range for this position is: $70,000-$90,000.
