Job Title: Well-being and Belonging Facilitator and Counselor

Position Summary:
We are seeking a school counselor to help support our faculty and students through additional well-being and belonging programming. This position will enhance our counseling programs and student support through three modalities:
- Build systems and processes to integrate our counseling, learning support, and student life activities to create a highly connected student success approach for our students with complex neurodiversity profiles.
- Support students and families with acute social-emotional needs in grades 7-12 directly with 1:1 meetings and case management support.
- Coordinate outside professional resources and presenters related to wellbeing and belonging topics deemed to be the most impactful and necessary for our students, parents, and faculty.
Position Requirements
- Significant experience in school counseling (independent school experience is preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to build systems and process related to student support
- Experience with and an understanding of clinical counseling practices
- Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; with significant experience and training in the implementation of programming and leadership in this realm
- Understanding of educational, physical, social, and psychological needs of students and expertise in collaborating with additional professionals to support school needs
- Effective communication, including experience with written, verbal, and social media.
- Comfort with and understanding of technology
- A degree (master’s preferred) in school counseling
