The Lab School is seeking a Head of Upper School beginning July 1, 2023. A member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Upper School will direct and manage all aspects of the division of approximately 130 students with language-based learning differences. The ideal candidate has an advanced degree, teaching and leadership experience particularly with adolescents, superior communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Training and/or experience with learning differences a plus. The Head of Upper School will develop and enhance the culture of the 9th-12th grade community, oversee the academic program, and lead the Upper School administrative team and faculty.

After an initial review of applicants, the School will conduct interviews with selected candidates. Finalists will be invited for a more comprehensive series of interviews. Ideally, an appointment will be made by mid-March.
While the search will be ongoing until the new Head of Upper School is appointed, priority consideration will be given to candidates who submit all materials by February 15, 2023.
All faculty and staff employed by Lab must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or submit an official medical exemption.
