Davis Renov Stahler (DRS) Yeshiva High School for Boys seeks a General Studies Principal to oversee and implement its General Educational Program

DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
School Leadership
Collaborate with Head of School and Administrative Team to ensure overall school
climate optimizes student learning, fosters vibrant religious and community life, and
supports academic, religious and personal growth
 Coordinate General Studies faculty recruitment and hiring in consultation with Head of
School
 Supervise all General Studies department heads and departments and lead or facilitate
all related meetings
 Ensure curricular alignment with HALB middle school to ensure vertical integration
Student Achievement
 Monitor student performance in General Studies
 Oversee Learning Center; Interact with Director of Learning Center and district
personnel to secure and oversee services for school and students
Oversee Chachmei Lev Scholars Program and Honor Society
 Work with Director of College Guidance and Dean of Students to administer PSAT’s,
SAT’s, ACT’s

 Develop the Master Schedule in Conjunction with the Associate Principal of Jewish
Studies
Faculty Oversight
 Maintain and enhance academic excellence and climate in General Studies classrooms
 General Studies Faculty supervision, evaluation and Staff Development
 Oversight of all College Guidance staff and programs
Social Emotional Development
 Partner with the Dean of Students, Director of Guidance, and Administrative Team to
ensure social and emotional development of each student
 Create opportunities to develop personal relationships with all students
Recruitment and Admission
 Interview and Assess each applicant to help determine admission status
 Oversee placement of all student in General Studies Classes
