Millbrook School seeks a French teacher, capable of teaching beginning through upper-level French, to be part of a vibrant World Language Department at the School beginning in the 2023-24 academic year. The French program promotes student language proficiency through a curriculum that emphasizes authentic languages starting at the novice level, and the School is eager for a collaborative colleague who will embrace its strengths and further its development. Interest in 21st century pedagogy, integrated performance assessment, and continued professional growth are essential. We seek educators who value creating inclusive classrooms and curriculum. In addition to teaching four sections, this position includes coaching or supervising an afternoon program for two out of three seasons and serving as an advisor for up to six students. Housing may be provided and would bring with it residential life duties. Energy for adolescents, adaptability, humor, and integrity are the hallmarks of Millbrook's faculty. Salary is competitive.
A Bachelor’s Degree, native speaker or proficiency in spoken and written French, and fluency with French language instructional pedagogy. Prior coaching and teaching experience preferred.
