Work Location: Providence, RI. In-Person Tutor for Grades 6 through college level.

Ivy League Tutoring is a growing test prep and academic tutoring business in Providence, Rhode Island. We offer a great work environment with exceptional tutors who are passionate about teaching and helping students get into their top choice colleges. Part-time contract position 5-10 hours a week with potential for 15-20/hours a week for a successful tutor.

You might be the next tutor we’re looking for if:

• You’ve learned how to ace the SAT or ACT and want to share your knowledge and experience and get paid to do it. (To teach SAT or ACT, we require our tutors to have scored between the 95^th and 99^th percentile on a given exam.)
• You are passionate about teaching and go above and beyond to help your students reach their goal scores, so they can achieve their dream of attending their first-choice college.
• You have at least two years teaching experience with high school or college students and a bachelor’s degree from a selective college. Prior SAT or ACT tutoring experience is preferred. Position will be tutoring students in person for grades 6 through college level. Online tutoring only will not be considered.
• A master’s degree is preferred. Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
• You genuinely care about whether or not your students succeed and have patience and dedication to see them through to the finish line.
• You want to be part of a growing community where you can make a difference in students’ lives and how our company grows.
• You’re an excellent communicator with an ability to establish rapport with students and parents.
• Our biggest need is for math and science tutors who can tutor all levels of math and high school science classes, including AP classes. Ability to tutor Spanish is a plus.

Hours: Flexible hours. 5 to 10 hours per week in person tutoring (with potential for up to 15-20 hours a week for a successful tutor). Must be available some weekdays after school and early evenings and one weekend day. (A partial weekend day is okay). This is an in-person tutoring position. Online tutoring only will not be considered.

Start Date: As soon as possible. Duration: A minimum of one year availability is required.  

Work Location: In-person tutoring in Providence, Rhode Island for students in grades 6-college (with occasional tutoring online tutoring from home.) Applicants who are available for online tutoring only will not be considered.

Note: For in-person tutoring sessions, tutors and students are required to have the Covid-19 vaccine.
