Holton Arms School seeks an Upper School Spanish Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Beyond the classroom, expectations include fulfilling assigned duties as required; communicating effectively with students and parents; and working collaboratively with other World Languages teachers in the department and division colleagues and administrators. Teachers serve as advisors, mentors, and role models responsible for preserving a positive learning environment and the well-being of all of our students, committing to academic excellence, and supporting our Global Education and Diversity institutional priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant will have demonstrated the following experience and abilities:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or Spanish, with a graduate degree preferred
- Experience teaching at the upper school level, preferably at an all-girls school.
- Understanding or growing knowledge of competency-based teaching and learning
- Experience embedding Social and Emotional Learning, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, and Global Competencies into their curriculum
- Global travel experience is preferred
- Understands language learning as an integral component of global competence
- Believes language learning is something everyone can do
- Commitment to continued professional learning
