The Grayson School: Admissions Associate
Are you a highly organized individual who can manage multiple projects and deadlines? Do you have great communication skills and enjoy dealing with diverse people and roles? Are you inspired by the chance to be a member of an innovative educational community?
The Grayson School is looking for a full-time Admissions Associate and Community Liaison who is enthusiastic, highly motivated, committed, and eager to join a community passionate about supporting gifted children. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the growth and development of our research-based PreK-12 private school, an exemplar for gifted education in Pennsylvania. We are looking for someone to invest in, and career advancement opportunities will follow in this role.
In conjunction with our Director of Admission, you will plan, organize and deliver effective recruiting events for both creating awareness and generating leads for application to our school and enrichment programs.
You will manage a database of contacts, conduct follow-ups, and lead nurturing communications to support prospective families as they move through the application process. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: participating in open houses, taking families on tours, conducting and scheduling interviews, meeting with the admissions team to make admissions determinations, and providing written notification to families of admissions decisions.
You will support data collection, including tracking and publishing reports on enrollment and retention metrics for our programs, along with additional administrative, clerical, community-based or other work that relates to the success of your responsibilities.
The Grayson School prohibits discrimination against and harassment of students and/or school employees on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, age, and/or any other protected characteristics under all applicable laws or school policies in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid policies, athletics, and other school-administered programs and activities. The Grayson School is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are fully committed to creating a just, equitable, and inclusive community at our school.
YOU MUST:
- Have excellent communication skills in person, in writing, and on the phone.
- Be a people-person. You are comfortable speaking in front of people, both in small and large groups.
- Be flexible, have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Up-to-date (less than 1-year-old) clearances prior to beginning work, including Federal Criminal History, PA State Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, Act 168, and any additional required clearances.
IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF:
- An appreciation of both the intellectual and the social-emotional needs of gifted children.
- You have experience working in an admissions setting.
- You have an upbeat, energetic personality and a desire to conquer the unknown!
