General Description and Qualifications: King’s Way Christian Schools is a private, Christian school dedicated to serving students from 12 months through 12th grade located in beautiful Vancouver, Washington. King’s Way partners with families to provide a Christ-centered education for the whole child, leading to life change in each student.

We are currently seeking a Community Engagement Assistant to join our passionate team. This position supports the Advancement Department providing comprehensive clerical support for community engagement events and activities. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and organization acumen to coordinate events, process financial gifts, manage databases, create accurate reporting, and develop a variety of communications

Job Duties 

• Assist in the creation and distribution of community engagement communications (print, electronic, telephone, social media, etc.)
• Organize, schedule, and provide administrative support for department and one-on-one meetings
• Manage several databases including updates and coordinating user trainings
• Process financial giving to include: receipting, logging, auditing, tracking, and reconciling with budget staff
• Coordinate community engagement events and activities (ex. Annual Auction, King’s Way After Hours, etc.)

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

• Experience with a constituent relationship management (CRM) database, and other demonstrated commitment to King’s Way Statement of Faith
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to build relationships with people from variety of backgrounds
• Ability to understand and communicate KW mission and fundraising goals, and champion both Christian education and the King’s Way mission
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook; Google Slides, Form, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Meets)
• Experienced in data entry, and reporting from databases
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong forecasting, scheduling, and organizational aptitude 
• Proven ability to work collaboratively, positively, and courteously with colleagues, constituents, and the public throughout all interactions
• High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

• Database management experience
• Donor relations experience
• Online giving process experience
• Completion of an accredited program in business administration, finance, marketing, communications, or related discipline   
• Experience and/or interest in private K-12 schools, either as a student, parent, employee, etc. 
• Experience with a constituent relationship management (CRM) database (e.g. Kindful)
• Strong decision-making skills for juggling multiple projects, meeting varied deadlines, and handling shifting priorities
