Specific Job Functions:
- Serve as a curator of student culture at KMS.
- Develop systems and ways to strengthen programming to enhance the student experience.
- Foster a strong sense of community and spirit and promote the School’s core values.
- Serve as Lead Dorm Supervisor
- Perform Daily Dorm Supervision from approximately 4:30pm-8:30am, daily. Two days off per week, sliding depending on the schedule of other Dorm Supervisors.
- Maintain residence in the dorm building to fulfill overnight responsibilities.
- Lead team of Residential Supervisors including regularly scheduled meetings
- Consult with Director of Student Life for any student support or disciplinary issues.
- Consult with Director of Student Life for any Handbook rule or policy concerns.
- Manage schedule of Residential Supervisors for 24/7 dorm coverage, including during summer programming which requires residential support
- Consult with Director of Student Life to plan regular activities and outings for the residential students.
- Ensure that Orah is used and accurate
For reference, the responsibilities of a dorm supervisor include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the well being of all student-athletes who are under the care of the school during a scheduled shift.
- Work with Director of Student Life and Residential Life Coordinator to organize and maintain an atmosphere conducive to respectful community living.
- Support and enforce school rules and code of conduct as defined in the Student-Athlete and Faculty Handbook.
- Administer medication to all KMS Students under nurse supervision
- Be able and willing to work in a team environment including participating and helping with activities or helping cover for fellow dorm staff when not assigned to be on duty.
- Making quick decisions to protect the health and welfare of all students
- Work with the head dorm supervisor to maintain coverage of the KMS dorm phone on campus at all times including overnight periods when non-residential dorm supervisors are on duty.
- Transport students to and from public transportation (Amtrack in Rutland, Dartmouth Coach, airports (including scheduled Boston Airport Run))
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1 years prior experience in a similar residential student life role; or similarly applicable role.
- Demonstrated experience working with parents and families in support of the overall student experience in a school environment.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Successful track record working with students and student life programming.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Google G-Suite required; Salesforce and Orah a plus
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours and off-site training
locations.
- Must be able to travel to all campus locations and to appropriate training and meetings

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, year-round, exempt position. Benefits include a retirement plan after one year of employment, cost sharing for health insurance, HSA, discounted season pass to Killington/Pico, generous vacation and holiday PTO. Use of the facility and dining hall for all meals. Tuition remission for qualifying dependent children may be available upon completing one year of employment. Campus provided housing is provided as living on campus is a requirement of the role.
