-Work directly with teachers and advisors, PK3- 12th grade, on developing and implementing the program on the Pledge Themes to encourage the social and emotional growth of all students
-Work alongside the Dean of Students to handle “emergency situations” involving interactions between students
-Provide counseling services for students on a drop-in basis
-Work with faculty and staff on developing and implementing accommodations if there are social/emotional needs to do so
-Coordinate with parents, staff and outside services if an emergency mental health situation arises
-Coordinate and document volunteer hours for 8th through 12th grade
-Oversee Community Service interns at the Upper School
-Plan and implement division-wide community service events, like Special Olympics
-Oversee Community Service Club at the Upper School
-Provide recommendations of outside counseling services for students, parents and staff as requested
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience as a counselor in a school setting preferred
