Latin School of Chicago is seeking a reliable and skilled Evening Custodian with experience cleaning office buildings and, most preferably, schools.

Hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday (days may be subject to change)

Duties include:

• Perform general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
• Unlock doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Remove snow when are where is needed (shovel and blower)
• Stripping and waxing floors when needed
• Operating carpet extraction equipment when needed
• Cleaning washrooms and offices
• Snow removal when needed
• Help set up for the next day's events (moving tables, chairs, bleachers, etc.)
• Other related duties as needed and/or assigned

• Prior custodial experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety protocols
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to use bulky equipment and strenuous activities with and without assistance that includes mopping, moving tables, carrying trash, opening and stocking supplies, using power tools, and other related activities
• Experience using carpet extraction or similar equipment is helpful
