Lake Highland Preparatory School seeks a Middle School Counselor to provide social, emotional, and academic support to students in our Middle School. We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, and an appreciation of the various challenges faced by Middle School students. Other duties and proficiencies include, but are not limited to, creating and updating support plans for students; demonstrated experience in reading psycho-educational reports and implementation of student support plans; and evaluating academic records from other schools to make appropriate curriculum recommendations and scheduling placements. This is a full-time, benefited, 12-month position.

Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution and have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience within the Middle School setting. The ideal candidate is certified in School Counseling or Mental Health Counseling.
