Position Purpose
English/Humanities Teacher
- Seeking experienced English/Humanities educator with a background in Middle School teaching.
- This is a full-time position with the possibility of additional hours in various projects in grades 5-8.
- This teacher will be a part of a collaborative department with an internationally focused curriculum.
Advisor
- The teacher will be part of a grade-level team of Advisors who supports the social-emotional needs of the Middle School grade.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities include: teaching English/Humanities to students in grades 5-8.
- Responsible to execute the duties of a Middle School Advisor

- Experience teaching using a Responsive Classroom model
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, oral and written, and ability to adapt messages to specific audiences, requiring different levels of detail
- Knowledge of adolescent social and emotional development
- Pro-active, positive team player
- Curious, inquiring, inventive, and open mindset
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is required Master's Degree preferred
- Experience in a K-12 educational environment essential
- Experience with Concept-based curriculum and instruction
