Francis Parker School of Louisville (formerly St. Francis School) is an Independent, Progressive school in Louisville, Kentucky.  We have two campuses serving students from Preschool through High School, and we are "The School of Thought.” We seek a High School Math Teacher for the 2023-24 school year. Our outstanding teachers provide individual attention in small, collaborative, active, and engaged classes. With students at the center of all that we do, we encourage intellectual engagement, curiosity, lifelong learning, and a spirit of innovation as we guide students to understand their responsibility to serve and to act. Francis Parker School of Louisville cultivates a joyful, compassionate, intellectual community that celebrates individuality and inspires independent thinking for life.  Assignments change yearly; candidates ideally should be able to teach courses ranging from Algebra I through AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics.  We seek educators who are passionate about their subjects and about teenagers, and who want to build a career in an exciting Progressive environment. The ideal candidate will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in math and 3+ years of teaching experience.  An understanding of Independent schools, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, the ability and desire to work collaboratively, and dedication to continuously developing and practicing cultural competence are also essential.
