Bullis School seeks a full-time Middle School Chinese & French Language Teacher to contribute to our vibrant learning community starting in the 2023-24 academic year. This unique candidate will be proficient in both French and Chinese languages and should understand the cultures associated with each. Qualified candidates will be capable of teaching language to a range of learners in grades 6-8 with a specific focus on the development and implementation of an engaging curriculum. This position involves teaching five classes, as well as co-curricular activities including advising eight to twelve students. This position reports to the Head of Middle School and involves teaching five classes, as well as co-curricular activities including advising eight to twelve students.

Guided by the theory and principles of Comprehensible Input (CI), teachers build lessons that engage and challenge students as they grow toward an ability to function in the target language. Teachers employ their creativity to form interdisciplinary, cultural, and personal connections by incorporating a variety of media in the target language.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese, education or relevant field (required)
- Master’s Degree in Chinese, education or relevant field (preferred)
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in middle or secondary education (preferred)
- Experience with Integrated Performance Assessments is highly desirable
- Teaching certificates are not required
