Upper School Teaching Position
This is a full time position within the Upper School reporting to the Head of Upper School.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create an intellectually challenging program informed by developmentally appropriate and research-based practices that is inquiry-based, rigorous, and integrates culturally responsive pedagogy
- Individualize and differentiate instruction, nurture wellbeing, and be able to motivate and challenge students utilizing a variety of instructional and assessment methods
- Assume responsibility for all work included in a full time teaching assignment including timely grading and feedback to students, progress reports, conferences and home/school communication, duties, etc.
- Integrate technology to enrich student learning
- Cultivate a sense of community, social responsibility, and an appreciation and respect for individual differences
- Work closely and cooperatively with colleagues, departmental and administrative teams
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, kindness, enthusiasm, flexibility, a sense of humor, willingness to learn and grow professionally, a cooperative spirit and a commitment to teamwork
- Advising a group of Upper School students

- Have a minimum of three years teaching experience
- Hold a bachelor’s degree
