The Associate Athletics Director is responsible for:

• Overseeing all aspects of the middle school athletic teams and assisting with upper school teams.

Middle School responsibilities include:

• Teaching physical education classes or electives as needed
• Coaching one sport (middle and/or upper school) per season as needed
• Maintaining uniform ordering, distribution, collection/inventory, and invoice non-returned uniforms for upper and middle school through Business Office
• Entering / maintaining athletic information including schedules / rosters in Veracross and internal shared drives.
• Facilitating transportation schedule with bus companies and coaches.
• Scheduling officials for all home events
• Supporting the supervision of home events
• Communicating the ISL bylaws to coaches.
• Supporting the Director of Athletics in the daily operation of all aspects required to successfully run the Department of Athletics
• Scheduling team pictures for all athletic programs (6-12)
• Maintaining records, awards, to include the participation records for each sport/season.
• Collaborating with the Athletic Department to plan, organize, and execute special events throughout the school year.
• Assisting with communications related to the Athletic Department
• Promoting and creating content for Holy Child athletics for local media, social media (twitter, Instagram), along with Holy Child's website and publications
• Creating Athletics materials for use with athletic admissions applicants
• Coordinating and managing the BSN team stores
• Other duties as assigned

Duration: 10 months a year

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an athletic office setting
• Coaching experience
• Possess a broad knowledge of many sports.
• Knowledge of the overall operations of an Athletic program
• Advanced proficiency with social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
• Strong communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility, sense of humor, and willingness to assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced team environment.
• High regard for confidentiality

About Connelly School of the Holy Child

Connelly School of the Holy Child Founded in 1961 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus as a college preparatory school for girls grade 6-12. The school is part of a network of 33 Holy Child schools in the United States, Europe and Africa, which is guided by the educational philosophy of Cornelia Connelly. Holy Child enrolls approximately 300 students every year from the Washington, DC metropolitan area as well as across the globe. Holy Child creates a personal learning experience with an 8 to 1 student to faculty ratio and offers fine arts programs as well as competitive sports teams in soccer, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, cross country lacrosse and more. Service is part of the Holy Child curriculum and students last year completed 5,000 hours of community service.
