Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks an experienced full-time Spanish Teacher for a one-year position and a long-term Spanish substitute teacher eager to inspire students and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. We are a diverse learning community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive and creative pedagogy, and in-depth content are foundational to our purpose.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach all levels, beginning through advanced. Our goal is to develop bi-literate students who can read, write, speak, and listen in Spanish. Primary job responsibilities include teaching 4-5 sections of Spanish. In addition, all full-time teachers lead a community service group, participate in grade-level retreats at the beginning and end of the year, advise a student club, actively contribute as a member of a grade-level team, and serve as an advisor to 6-10 students per year.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree and three years or more of teaching experience at the secondary school level are preferred. Preferred candidates will also have experience guiding/mentoring students outside the classroom.
