Fort Worth Academy seeks a creative, innovative individual to provide enrichment classes for middle school students, grades 5-8.
The right person for this position will have an enthusiastic and optimistic outlook, a passion for teaching in a hands-on learning environment, and understand the importance of the maker movement, design thinking, and creativity in education today. Prior experience working in a makerspace providing hands-on structured lessons, as well as knowledge of electronics, 3-D printing, robotics, etc. is highly desired.
Teaching Responsibilities: Lesson planning, assessment and maintaining organization of the makerspace.
Fort Worth Academy is recognized as a leader in progressive education for students in grades K-8. Degree/Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in education, engineering, science or related area preferred.
Qualifications: Experience in science, product design, tinkering and/or construction.
