Fort Worth Academy is seeking a full time enthusiastic and passionate 4th Grade Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities will include language arts (reading, spelling and written language), math, social studies and handwriting. Excellent communication in both oral and written expression and experience teaching with technology are required.
Skills: Innovative and dynamic teacher who has demonstrated experience teaching diverse learners in a project-based learning environment. Strong understanding of methods for developing a growth mindset in students beginning in an early childhood classroom. Enthusiasm for incorporating hands-on learning experiences. Optimistic and flexible leader who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Understands the importance of developing in their students the attributes of entrepreneurs, leaders, and innovators. Cultivates a working relationship with parents who place a high value on the education of their children. Excellent communication skills and proactive problem solving skills. Strong classroom management, planning, and organizational skills. Enjoys and understands importance of lifelong learning. Team player who is energetic and willing to take initiative.
Fort Worth Academy is recognized as a leader in progressive education for students in grades K-8. Degree/Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in elementary and/or early childhood education. Teaching certification and master’s level degree is highly desired.
