All Saints Episcopal School seeks a full-time innovative and collaborative educator to inspire young people to be excited about visual arts in the Middle and Upper Schools. The teacher’s command of subject matter should ensure developmentally-appropriate activities and instruction to meet various student interests and talents. Additional opportunities for involvement in the All Saints community may include leading an advisory, coaching, or sponsoring an extracurricular activity.
The ideal candidate should:
- Possessing an educational background in art instruction; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Demonstrate instructional skills to teach various visual art techniques in various media.
- Have the desire to provide students with a solid foundation to appreciate art in various forms and express their ideas creatively.
- Have a solid commitment to working with students in Middle and Upper School..
- Possess a willingness to work collaboratively with other department members to plan a curriculum to support personal growth and responsibility.
- Have at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in independent schools.
