REPORTS TO: Director of Admission
SCHEDULE: 12-month faculty
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Director of Admission will play a vital role in the school community by engaging and recruiting mission-appropriate students who can thrive at Cheshire Academy with an international recruitment focus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Associate Director of Admission:
- Be a major contributor in developing and executing a strategic vision for recruitment and enrollment of qualified students from diverse experiences and backgrounds.
- Effectively communicate, by word and deed, the mission of Cheshire Academy to prospective students and their families.
- Maintain contact and cultivate relationships with prospective parents and students throughout the application process.
- Develop and cultivate external relationships with educational consultants and feeder schools throughout the country and abroad.
- Collaborate with the Admission Office team to coordinate all admissions events (school fairs, open houses, receptions, revisit days, etc.).
- Pursue professional development in the fields of admission and marketing through webinars, podcasts, and attendance at conferences (as offered) to ensure that Cheshire Academy implements best practices.
- Work with the Director of Admission to create and implement a travel strategy each year for domestic boarding recruitment in support of Cheshire Academy’s enrollment goals.
- Through direct travel, both international and within the United States, develop and cultivate relationships with educational consultants and agents who work with an international population.
Director of Financial Aid:
- Manages the school's financial aid budget and coordinates the distribution of funding to families.
- Develops policies and procedures around enrollment management and financial aid that support Cheshire Academy's mission.
- Collects and evaluates family requests for financial assistance.
- Communicates with families throughout the enrollment process, providing counsel and guidance on eligibility guidelines for financial aid, application procedures, Cheshire Academy policy, aid awards and appeals.
- Collaborates with the Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Director of Admissions, and the CFO to fulfill the school's enrollment management objectives.
Other Duties:
- Serve as an advisor or co-advisor.
- Serve on a Weekend Team.
- Contribute four points to the co-curricular program.
- Other responsibilities as needed and requested by the Director of Admissions and Head of School.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
- 3-5 years of in and independent school admission office and/or related field
- Experience with or extensive knowledge of independent day and boarding schools preferred.
- Experience with all Microsoft suite applications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be organized, detail oriented and possess an ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a close-knit team.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally in key markets.
- Must demonstrate energy and determination necessary to provide valuable and timely services to prospective and newly enrolling students/families.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively with all constituents in a school environment, including students, co-workers, parents, alumni, volunteers, trustees, and the public.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of parents, students, faculty, and staff as an Admission Associate.
