Essential Functions Capital Campaign · Schedule, attend and support all capital campaign planning and meetings. · Attend one-on-one meetings with volunteers and prospects as required to maintain campaign momentum. · Prepare all lists, reports and profiles concerning campaign prospects. · Issue regular progress reports including results to date, recent activity, priority contacts to be made, and next actions to keep the Campaign Committee moving forward. · Maintain the overall campaign timeline including goals for major milestones, major prospect meeting dates, campaign-related event dates, pending and upcoming proposals, etc. · Conduct ongoing ethical prospect research. Direct and conduct appropriate and ethical prospect research and evaluation: screening, rating, and assignments. · Manage and maintain records of cultivation strategies, evaluations, solicitations, contact reports and results of all contacts with campaign prospects. · Ensure campaign proposals, supporting documentation, and other materials and correspondence are produced and submitted as needed. · Produce all capital campaign packets for prospect and donor visits with supporting documentation and follow-up correspondence. · Manage creation and updates of campaign materials (i.e. Case Statement, etc.). · Maintain records regarding campaign gifts/pledges including payment schedules. · Produce all campaign correspondence including letters of acknowledgment and statements for outstanding pledge balances. · Create and coordinate all ongoing communications with donors to ensure appropriate donor recognition/naming is provided within fundraising policies. Major Donor Giving · Assist with Prospect/Donor Relationship Management Process regarding major donors and prospects for annual campaign and capital campaign. · Conduct detailed donor research on current/prospective donors, and fully prepare leadership to ask for contributions. · Work closely with the Advancement team and others to manage relevant donor information and ensure its accuracy in the database. · In conjunction with the Head of School, Advancement Director and Major Gifts Officer, the Capital Campaign Manager will maintain a portfolio of major donor prospects and be responsible for cultivation, stewardship, retention and upgrading while supporting the creation and implementation of major gifts strategy across the organization for all gift officers. · Participate in moves management meetings with the Advancement team and work to identify prospective capital campaign and other major donors. Other · Make public appearances/accept speaking engagements to share information about St. Andrew’s capital campaign within the community. · Attend special events as needed. · Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements and Qualifications • A minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit development, preferably in education, with proven capital campaign success; successful track record of cultivating relationships and soliciting gifts. • Experience managing up with leadership and collaborating with peers required. • Knowledge of the psychology, principles, and techniques of volunteer recruitment and management • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products and familiarity working with fundraising software, preferably Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge NXT) • Attention to detail, including the ability to write and proofread documents and maintain accuracy of details in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision. • Strong project management and time management skills • Capital campaign experience (desirable) • Knowledge of basic marketing principles (preferred) |
