ESOL Teacher
Position SpecificsDarrow School seeks a Teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages who will demonstrate enthusiasm and creativity in teaching ESOL at a high-school level. ESOL learning at Darrow emphasizes individualized support of international students whose native language is not English, but whose English skills are typically at a high beginning or low intermediate level as they enter Darrow. The ESOL Teacher will conduct both individual and small-group support sessions, and collaborate with colleagues in assessing students’ English proficiency, preparing materials, and designing curricula and lessons. The candidate should have a degree in ESOL or another closely related field of study, as well as expertise in teaching multiple levels of ESOL.
