University High School of Indiana seeks dynamic educators to teach French and ENL (English as a New Language) beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidates will have a passion for language instruction at the high school level, a desire to collaborate with other members of the faculty and staff, and a willingness to be involved at University beyond the classroom.
Faculty members at University High School are responsible for all tasks related to instruction, including planning, implementing, and assessing a curriculum that fits the school’s mission to expand the hearts and minds of its students through academic, creative and physical achievement. Instructors also serve on school committees and support the educational system of the school as a whole. Additionally, all faculty and staff members at University High School serve as mentors to students in the school-wide mentoring program.
This is currently a 0.8 FTE position and comes with full benefits. A full-time position maybe possible with additional duties depending on the candidate and their experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in French, French Education, or a related field required; master’s or other advanced degree preferred
- Ability to teach all levels of high school French; teaching experience preferred
- Advanced or near-native fluency in French
- Ability to teach all levels of English as a New Language (ENL); experience teaching ENL (either in the US or abroad) preferred
- Willingness to mentor required; mentoring experience preferred
- Commitment to the school’s core values of diversity, excellence, personal responsibility, stewardship, creativity, and mutual respect, support, and trust required
- Interest in collaborating with colleagues on curriculum, assessment, and professional development required
- Facility with technology required
- Ability to collaborate with, or teach in, other departments may also be considered
