The Middle School (grades 6, 7, 8) seeks a Science teacher. For the 2023-24 school year, this position will include five sections of 6th Grade Science, the first course in a three year spiraling curriculum covering earth, life, and physical science.
Candidates will ideally have an advanced degree in science, education, or a related field and middle school teaching experience.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Teach five sections of 6th Grade Science while satisfying all related requirements such as lesson planning, instruction, evaluation, assessment, grading, etc.
- Serve as an advisor to a group of 6th grade students.
- In addition to a full-time teaching schedule, faculty serve as advisors, mentor students in co-curricular activities (coaching athletics, if possible), participate in division and department meetings, and satisfy other duties typical for a school setting. Developing strong relationships with students and colleagues is critical for one’s success at Ranney and for the school’s successful accomplishment of its mission.
