The Loomis Chaffee School seeks an Assistant Varsity Lacrosse coach for the 2023-24 academic year.
The Loomis Chaffee boys lacrosse program has a long tradition of excellence and competes against one of the most challenging secondary school schedule of opponents in the country. This position includes assisting the Head coach managing a dynamic program, such as identifying and helping to recruit mission-appropriate student-athletes, supporting practice/game protocols, promoting the values of sportsmanship and leadership and collaborating with the college office for those players seeking to continue their lacrosse careers in college. In addition to serving as the assistant boys lacrosse coach, a successful candidate may fill other roles on campus (such as teaching or working in an administrative role), and may live on campus, with residential life responsibilities. This position may also be filled by an outside coach.
This position requires an undergraduate college degree as well as significant and relevant lacrosse coaching experience. Other desired experiences include: Working in a private and/or boarding secondary school setting is a plus; should have experience coaching lacrosse with a school, club or a collegiate program and should have experience playing at the collegiate and/or high school level.
Candidates should submit a cover letter, current resume and a list of at least three references to the employment section of the Loomis Chaffee website. Candidates must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and must possess or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification prior to the season.
