The Loomis Chaffee School seeks a head varsity softball coach for the 2023-24 academic year.

 
The Loomis Chaffee softball program has a tradition of excellence and competes against a very challenging schedule of opponents in New England.  This position includes all of the associated responsibilities of managing a competitive program, such as identifying and helping to recruit mission-appropriate student-athletes, the development and management of practice/game protocols and procedures, working with other coaches in the program at all levels, and collaborating with the college office for those players seeking to continue their softball careers in college.  

This position requires an undergraduate college degree as well as significant and relevant softball coaching experience.  Other desired experiences include:  1.  Working in a private and/or boarding secondary school setting; 2.  A proven track record of recruiting mission-appropriate student athletes into a challenging academic environment; 3.  Relevant work experience in an educational institution as either a teacher or administrator.
 
Candidates should submit a cover letter, current resume and a list of at least three references to the employment section of the Loomis Chaffee website.  Candidates must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and must possess or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certification prior to the season.  PSL Driving License is a plus.
