Opportunity Statement

Villa Academy seeks a part-time Cafeteria Assistant to join its team beginning August
23, 2023. This 4 hours/day position works under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager
and in partnership with the rest of the cafeteria staff. Hours are 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Monday through Friday. Throughout the year there will be additional hours for catered
events.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and friendly. They do well in a fast-
paced environment and would enjoy working in a school setting with children, parents,
and teachers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Cashier and/or serve lunch to students with parent volunteers.
? Cafeteria set up and clean up.
? Replenish stock during lunch service.
? Prep items in the kitchen.
? Administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Ability to positively interact with students, parents, teachers, and staff in a front-
facing role.
? Ability to perform all housekeeping tasks and any other duties as part of the role's
responsibilities.
? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
? Previous experience working in customer service, reception, or front of house
experience preferred.
? Previous experience working with children and/or in food service a plus.
SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Anticipated salary ranges between $20 – 22/hour, dependent upon education and
experience. Villa Academy offers a robust benefits package for part-time employees
including 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions, free parking, and paid time
off. This position also includes free daily lunch provided.
