JOB SUMMARY
Crystal seeks a .75 FTE Upper /Middle School Mind Body Program Teacher & Strength and Conditioning Coach (30 hours/week). This is a 10-month part-time faculty staff position, with an annual salary commensurate with experience within the range of $50,000 - $70,000.

Responsibilities
- Design inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse skill levels, abilities, and interests of students in grades 6 through 11
- Ability to instruct activities that include but are not limited to lifetime fitness activities and sports
- Organize, design, and implement strength and conditioning programs for athletic teams, grades 9 through 12
- Teach students health, wellness, and fitness-related concepts that align with MBP
- Create sport-specific workouts for athletic teams
- Provide appropriate biomechanical instruction
- Ability to manage large groups of students
- Motivate and inspire students to adhere to safe fitness protocols that enhance life-long fitness behaviors
- Collaborate with the Director of Mind Body Program to evaluate the curriculum and create age-appropriate activities and strength and conditioning programs
- Educate coaches on appropriate injury prevention strategies (i.e., dynamic warmup, flexibility/mobility training, etc.)
- Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and in proper working order
- Supervise Fitness Center
- Daily maintenance and upkeep of Fitness Center facilities
- Act as an ambassador for the school’s mission and the philosophy of the Mind Body Program
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Able to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
- Able to demonstrate movement patterns and activities taught
- Able to bend, lift, and move freely
- Able to walk up and down stairs
- Ability to multitask and manage large groups of students in a fast-paced environment
- Light travel between the Middle School and Upper School campuses, as needed
Education, Certifications, and Work-Related Experience
- Bachelor's Degree: Kinesiology or related field
- Certifications: Current CPR/AED certification (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: NSCA, NASM, ISSA, ACE certification
- Operational knowledge of Google Suite and Gmail
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office
Travel Required
Occasional travel between the Middle School and Upper School campuses.
The recruitment period will remain open until sufficient resumes have been received and may close at any time a sufficient pool of highly qualified candidates has been established. First consideration will be given to individuals that apply between August 4, 2023, through August 21, 2023. Second consideration will be given to individuals that apply between August 22, 2023 through August 31, 2023. The ideal start date for this position is September 18, 2023.
