The Education Administrator is responsible for the development and implementation of the educational curriculum and oversight of the IEP process. In addition, the Education Administrator will ensure that all requirements are met for acquiring and maintaining all applicable licenses, certifications and accreditations. He/she is responsible for the supervision, evaluation and discipline of all teachers and education support staff. Ensures that educational staff are highly qualified and meet and maintain all PDE requirements for certification.
Education/Training: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Education or Special Education, Principal and Teacher Certification in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Must meet the PA Department of Education requirements for Educational Administrator.
Certifications/Licensure: Teacher Certification, Principal Certification and a valid driver’s license and ability to meet approved driver status and a minimum age of twenty-one. Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid and Crisis Intervention. BCBA certification preferable.
Skill(s): Strong background in educational services and curricula, with emphasis on special education and the special needs and requirements of individuals with acquired brain injury, intellectual/ developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Experience in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis within an educational setting, as well as evidence-based instructional strategies for all learners.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years teaching and supervising experience in a public or approved private school/special education setting.
