Sacred Heart Academy “SHA” Bryn Mawr (PA) is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls founded in 1865 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and lay-owned and governed since 1969. The school serves approximately 200 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
Job Description
Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) Bryn Mawr (PA) seeks an Extended Day Program Leader who has experience working with children in Kindergarten through Grade 4. Ideal candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education. The Extended Day Program is SHA’s after-school program for SHA Lower School students. This program includes recreational activities and scheduled homework time. The SHA Extended Day program is held Monday through Friday from 3:45-6:00 p.m. The Extended Day Program Leader will supervise students and help with homework, provide snack time, and monitor outside and inside play activities. The Extended Day Program Leader will report to the Director of the Lower School. Qualifications
- Passion for working in an all-girls environment
- Knowledge of and experience with elementary students
- Excellent communication skills, a genuine appreciation of young children, a sense of humor, and the ability to work well within a collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Prior experience in a similar position and/or similar setting is strongly preferred
