Emerson School is seeking a full-time Math Enrichment Specialist (focusing on Young 5s through 4th grade) for the 2023-24 school year.This Specialist is responsible for supporting our students in grades Young 5 through 4th grade and providing academic enrichment opportunities focusing on math enrichment. This position will work closely with classroom teachers and determine developmentally appropriate extensions for small groups of students in those grade levels. This position will report to the Lower School Director.

This person is responsible for the following:
? providing enrichment to students through effective whole group practices, small group enrichments, and individualized learning activities
? collaborating with teachers to develop differentiated lessons based on student’s unique learning profiles, so that all are engaged and challenged
? implementing a multi-disciplinary approach through the use of kinesthetic activities, the applied arts, technology, and the multiple intelligences
? developing assessments as needed
? collaborating with content and grade-level teams to promote an environment of cross curricular critical thinking
? assisting teachers (through ongoing assessment) in identifying students, both returning and new, who might benefit from an extra layer of challenge
? delivering content and instruction to students with purpose, passion, and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to help students succeed
