The Data and Systems Manager is responsible for maintaining and supporting the operational software and database systems. This work supports every department at Holton-Arms which includes academics, athletics, business office, admissions, enrollment, financial aid, development, communications, facilities, health, student support, and auxiliary programs. The Data and Systems Manager works with administrators and staff throughout the school, other members of the technology team, and vendor representatives. The Data and Systems Manager is a member of the Technology Information and Libraries department, participating in that team’s work including but not limited to: seasonal transitions, projects, general Tier 1 support for students, faculty, and staff, providing data integration as requested, and ensuring software user accounts are provisioned properly.

The Technology Information and Libraries department cultivates authentic and equitable learning experiences for the Holton community by supporting exploration of new technologies, promoting a love of reading, and empowering students to become effective, responsible users, and creators of information.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain data integration between systems used to manage data and operations across the school in areas such as student information, accounting, billing, bill payment, credit card payment receipt, donor and donation records, human resources and payroll information, security and access control, health records, counseling records, faculty development, admissions, facilities and work management, school store, etc. Software systems currently include Veracross, BlackBaud Raiser’s Edge, MIP, TADS Student Billing, Paycom, SchoolPass, Magnus Health, August Schools, Folio Collaborative, Ravenna, Schooldude, etc.
- Manage and ensure the integrity of data entry, reconciliation, queries, reports, etc. for admissions, advancement, communications, business, academics, health, facilities, HR, and other school offices.
- Manage user identity and access (account creation and deletion, granting and revoking of permissions).
- Create and implement standardized database management procedures for best practices in data management, consistency, accuracy, and security and educate users in different departments of the School on these topics and practices.
- Review and resolve data record issues (e.g. duplicates, relationships, bouncing addresses, etc.).
- Independently research and resolve complex technical issues related to database functionality.
- Respond to incoming email and telephone help support requests for data-related issues.
- Maintain documentation of database systems and scripts sufficient to maintain proper function and facilitate troubleshooting by School and vendor personnel.
- Manage projects requiring transition to a new database in any area of school function.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, CIS, or similar required
- Experience with advanced spreadsheet functions (data manipulation)
- Experience with scripting, coding, and API development SQL? python?
- Ability to perform complex detail-oriented work carefully and accurately
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
