The Quaker School at Horsham (TQS) uses research-based programs provided by compassionate professionals to enable each student with complex challenges to blossom and achieve meaningful personal, social and academic success. Our compassionate community builds trusting relationships among students, parents, therapists, faculty and staff.

The students at TQS in grades K-12 have struggled in traditional schools and come with a pressing need for a safe learning environment where they can confidently face the challenges of learning. These students have a mix of disabilities: ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, expressive and receptive language disorders and anxiety disorders. At TQS, we use the latest findings from educational research to guide our curriculum and nurture our students’ inherent curiosity and desire to learn.

The physical, mental and emotional well-being of faculty and staff is of top importance. We provide opportunities for fellowship, goodwill and experiences to create overall positive morale. We share the many positive achievements of our school community, acknowledge and celebrate the personal and professional milestones within our faculty and staff community.

Position Title:  Licensed Social Worker

Status: Full-time, 10 months

Salary:  $58,000

Start Date:  August 2023

-Address barriers while providing support so that students receive the full benefit of their educational experience.

-Assist students in facing behavioral and social challenges.

-Implement positive behavioral interventions in the classroom.

-Provide social skills education.

-Maintain ongoing relationships with community agencies and outside professionals.

-Case management for students and families requiring multiple resources.

-Create professional development programs for faculty.

-Recognize the need to spend time working in classrooms to understand how staff and students think and respond to social, behavioral and academic demands.

-Willing to learn to support students through Collaborative & Proactive Solutions©.

-Assist students in crisis intervention.

Requirements:  Master’s degree and license in social work. Clinical License preferred.
