Job Title: Director of Community Engagement and Admissions
Salary Range: $7,500 – $9,500/monthly
Reporting to: Executive Director
Job Summary: The Director of Community Engagement and Admissions is responsible for creating and leading a comprehensive marketing plan for the school. In addition, this position drives fulfillment of goals across the organization, including but not limited to student admissions, brand development, and internal/external communications.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing/Branding
- Create and execute a strategic branding and marketing plan to drive demand and enhance Frostig School’s profile
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership on key strategies to enrich the brand experience
- Oversee digital marketing efforts including website design, brand alignment, maintenance, and efficacy
- Ensure brand and messaging quality and consistency, establishing and enforcing guidelines across all departments, activities, and events, as well as among professional and volunteer leadership
Communication
- Lead all internal and external marketing communications activities, including messaging and branding, publications, social media, digital communications, web presence, advertising and public relations, and advancement communications
- Oversee the design, production, and distribution of all printed materials, working in close collaboration with relevant colleagues
- Oversee all website, video, and photography initiatives in keeping with brand objectives
- Serve as the campus media relations contact, which includes emergency and crisis situations. Be on call 24/7 to communicate necessary information to the Frostig community.
- Oversee and ensure editing for the highest level of professionalism in all written communication that represents the School
- Keep the Executive Director, principal and other senior leaders informed with accurate and timely information regarding marketing communications initiatives and progress toward established goals.
Admissions
- Administers the admissions process for Frostig School
- Communicates the mission and vision of Frostig School to prospective candidate families and the broader community
- Prepares/updates admissions materials including marketing materials, applications, assessment materials, and enrollment agreements
- Welcomes prospective families to the campus warmly and acts as a passionate ambassador of the school’s programs to current and potential stakeholders
- With the Executive Director, leads all recruitment activities including, but not limited to, school tours and school visits
- Attends community events to promote Frostig School including school fairs, Elementary School Admissions Directors (ESAD) meetings, and kindergarten fairs
- Participates on the Admissions Committee
- Manages admissions decision process and communicates admissions decisions to parents in respectful, kind manner
- Organizes and administers, with the Scholarship Committee, the program for scholarships and financial aid

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior Marketing and Admissions experience or other relevant education
- Strong organizational and time management skills, and a highly collaborative nature
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including social media expertise
- Willingness to work some evenings and/or weekends
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Knowledge of evolving marketing and communications industry trends
Preferred qualifications:
- Three + years full-time admissions and/or marketing experience
- Advanced degree
- Teaching Credential and/or School Administrative Credential
- Previous experience in a leadership role
